Subtrak is proud to introduce the world to a wonderful first full length album by a visionary artist we see making a stir in the dance music community. Inspired by the colder minimal scene that is commensurate with the German Techno sound, Paul...
On a very rainy day last June, Terrence Dixon stopped by Subtrak to meet with Ryan Brogan and Christian Bloch. After a couple of good beers and minimal conversation, the three decided to head to the machines and sketch a few songs in freeform. It's not like they set to create music that epitomizes the Detroit sound, it just happened that way. If you're a fan of any of the three artists and love the lush basslines, hypnotic melodies, and 808 and 909 sound of Transmat, Planet E, and Metroplex records, these tracks will be right up your alley--no nonsense street techno.
Zoom to this morning, coincidentally another rainy, dark day, Terrence calls Ryan and says he's coming back to perform in New York this weekend. We'd sort of forgotten about the collaboration and the resulting music, but in celebration of Terrence's return to Brooklyn for the Sound Noir event this Saturday, Subtrak is releasing two of these tracks for free.
Simply click download, enter in your email ID to receive the files, and enjoy. So without further adieu, the music of Terrence Dixon, Ryan Brogan, Christian Bloch aka Stronghold.
And if you're in New York, we'll see you at the Sound Noir Party this weekend.
